︎HOW TAPE WORKS

Kinesiology tape is an elastic-cotton tape made with a biocompatible adhesive for use on the human body. It was invented by a Japanese-American chiropractor, Kenzo Kase, in 1979.

Today, kinesiology tape is used by thousands of hospitals, clinics, universities, high schools, and pro sports teams. We discovered it in 2016, when Katie was in treatment for chronic hip pain, and was surprised at the immense relief she felt when her PT would tape up her hip.

In essence, kinesiology tape works by:

  • Modulating pain signals by stimulating sensory receptors and altering the brain's perception of pain.

  • Improving circulation and lymphatic drainage by lifting the skin and creating space in the tissues.

  • Supporting muscles and joints by providing flexible support and stabilization.

  • Re-educating the neuromuscular system by helping the body learn and adapt to new movement patterns.

After the PT put her on, Katie would experiment with different uses for the tape. She found that taping up her glutes before doing squats allowed her to lift heavier and see significantly more growth than without it. Here, Ebony demonstrates this type of taping.

We first tried using it as boob tape in 2020, and were instantly hooked: it felt 100x better than any bra. Since that moment, Katie has worn only the tape instead of a bra. We’ve tested every boob tape on the market and have been spent 2 years working to get the Japanese manufacturer of Tiddy Tape to make the colors we wanted.

We hope you love Tiddy Tape as much as we do!
